There are 5 types of C-Werk license: C-Werk C-Werk Viewer, C-Werk Essential, C-Werk Pro, C-Werk Premium and C-Werk Ultra. Upon installation, the software will be launched in C-Werk Viewer mode. You should activate C-Werk VMS to utilize the full feature set of the security software package. You can activate the software by distributing an activation key on the system. Data on all the types of C-Werk licenses is presented in the table below.

Note
Information about the type of license you are using is displayed in the Server properties in the Product type field.
Users in the admin role get an informational message to renew the license 30 days or less before it expires.
1—the system will operate in C-Werk Viewer mode from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM within 30 days after installation of C-Werk.
2—all VMD-based Scene analytics detection tools are available in C-Werk Essential licenses, except for the Abandoned object detection (see Setting up VMD-based Scene Analytics detection tools).
3—MomentQuest with metadata search from the base VMD is available in C-Werk Essential licenses. It is not possible to determine the object type and color based on metadata from VMD.
4—it is necessary to activate the license for the following detection tools:
- Vehicle recognition (IV);
- License plate recognition (VT) (see Licensing of the software module for License plate recognition (VT));
- License plate recognition (IV) (see Configuring License plate recognition (IV)).
5—the module has to be purchased separately.
6—with the license, you can use privacy masks based on data from the corresponding detection tools.
7—to be released in the next version.
8—country restriction. Please contact an Grundig manager to find out if this functionality is supported in your country.
