Attention!

It is not recommended to delete or modify any C-Werk files without prior consulting with Grundig technical specialists.

When working with C-Werk, keep in mind the limitations that the developer has imposed on the system in order to ensure its operability.

No.

Limitation

1

To work with C-Werk, the following requirements for OpenGL should be met:

  1. Version 2.0 and higher.
  2. The following extensions should be available: ARB_vertex_program, GL_EXT_blend_func_separate, GL_ARB_framebuffer_object.

Extensions availability can be checked with the OpenGL Extension Viewer program (download).
This program also contains a large database of OpenGL support in video cards of various vendors

2

C-Werk Client cannot be started if the scale of all items on the screen (DPI) is over 100%.

You may have issues with C-Werk VMS if the screen resolution is set lower than 1280*960 pixels

3

The Server and the Client must be of the same version. If not, the correct operation of C-Werk VMS isn't guaranteed

4

For the correct operation of C-Werk VMS, the OS should use the UTF-8 locale

5Downgrade to a previous version of C-Werk is not allowed
6In one LAN, two Servers with the same name are not allowed, even if they belong to different Domains
7Maximum video frame rate in the Client is 50 FPS. When C-Werk is running in the safe mode, the frame rate decreases
8

To install C-Werk, you must log in to Windows as an administrator

9

For the correct installation of C-Werk, there should be no spaces at the beginning of the name of the folder which contains the installer

10

For the correct and full-feature operation of C-Werk, the system must not limit network activity between all Servers and Clients.

If during C-Werk installation, certain ports were specified, the access to these ports via the TCP and UDP protocols should be enabled. Otherwise, access to all ports should be allowed in the system.

For the Client to operate correctly, disable unnecessary network interfaces on the Server. If you want the Server to work with only one network interface, set its gateway and mask in the network settings utility (see Network settings utility)

11

To ensure proper functioning of C-Werk, it is imperative to employ distinct IP addresses for all network interfaces on the Server. Or utilize the interface mask to specify a designated set of addresses where the Server will operate (see Network settings utility).

Failure to maintain unique IP addresses among the Servers may result in complications pertaining to intercommunication among the Servers themselves, as well as between the Client and the Server

12

Time must be synchronized among all computers in the system (configured by the user)

13

If you have edge storage enabled in the system, synchronization between the Server and the IP device is necessary (see The Embedded storage object).

Lack of synchronization may lead to bad DB entries of events detected on the device

14

Before installing C-Werk, make sure the video card drivers on the computer are fully up to date

15

NetBIOS name of a computer must meet the following requirements:

  • contains only Latin characters, digits, and a "-" character;
  • does not exceed 15 characters
16The face detection tool requires a CPU supporting SSE4.2, FMA3 or AVX2.0 instruction sets
17

The Client cannot be started on a remote desktop through the standard Remote Desktop Connection Windows utility

18

If a computer is connected to an Active Directory domain, one of the following conditions must be met to enable disk access:

  1. Disk Access Control Lists must contain only local or built-in groups and users.
  2. Create an C-Werk File Browser user in the domain and add it to the Users group (see Installation). This behavior is typical only of the file systems that have access permissions (for example, NTFS)
19Hibernation mode and sleep mode are not supported. Before you switch the computer to these modes, stop the Server (see Shutting down a Server)
