The C-Werk Server is started automatically when the operating system starts.

If the Server operation was stopped, perform one of the following actions to restart the Server:

  1. Restart the system.
  2. Select Start server from the StartAll Programs → C-Werk menu or in the C-Werk Tray Tool utility (see C-Werk Tray Tool).

    Note

Run the command with the administrator permissions.

  3. Start the NGP Host Service.

By default, the C-Werk Server start time is set to 120,000 ms. If the Server does not start within the set time, the second forced attempt will be made to start the Server.

You can use the NGP_SERVICE_START_TIMEOUT_MS system variable (see Appendix 9. Creating system variable) to increase the Server start time. The value of the variable should be specified in milliseconds.
