Registering local users

To register a local user, do the following:

  1. Click the Create link at the end of the list of a role to which you want to add a user.
The new user will be added to the system, and the permissions settings panel for that user will open on the right.
  2. Enter a user name (1).
  3. In the Security settings group, enter a password (2).
    1. Click the button. The Change password window will open.
    2. In the New password field (1), enter a new password assigned to the user.

    3. In the Confirmation field (2), reenter the password.
    4. Click the OK button to save the settings.
  4. In order for the user to change the password upon the next connection to the Client, set the corresponding parameter (3) to Yes.

  5. If you want to limit the number of connections for a user through Web or mobile Clients, specify a maximum number of connections (4). The Maximum number of web app connections parameter also sets a maximum number of rtsp streams requests for a particular user.

    Attention!

The limit on the number of connections will take effect after the Server is restarted (see Launching and closing the C-Werk software package).

  6. If necessary, enter additional information about the user (e-mail, IP address, personal and company ID, etc.) in the corresponding fields.

  7. Click the Apply button.

The user has been registered and added to a role.

All created users are displayed in the Users list.

  2. Move the user to the required role by dragging and dropping.

  3. Repeat steps 1-2 if you want to add the user to another role.

User access permissions are summarized from all roles to which the user belongs, i.e. from all roles the rights with the highest access to the configuration of C-Werk components are selected.

You can also move users from one role to another. To do this, do the following:
