Backing up a configuration involves creating and saving copies of the license key, domain structure, all created objects along with their parameters and relationships with history of changes, as well as database containing users, groups, passwords, and layouts.

Attention!

We recommend you to back up your configuration after any major change in system configuration.

To create a backup of the system configuration:

  1. On the main page of the Backup and restore utility, set the switch to the Backup position.
A window then opens for configuring backup options.
  2. In the field Select folder, specify a folder for saving the backup. The default folder is C:\Users\username\Documents\Grundig\Backups\. To switch to a different folder, click Browse and select a folder in the dialog box.

    Note

For each copy of the backup configuration, a separate folder is created. The folder name contains the date and time of the backup copy and has the following format: YYYYMMDDHHMMSS. The default time zone is UTC + 0

  3. In the Select servers field, select servers for creating the backup. You can select multiple servers. To select all servers, set the Select all checkbox.
  4. Set the Backup license checkbox to save the license key to a configuration backup. When restoring a copy of the configuration, it will be possible to restore the configuration with the license key. If you do not restore the configuration with the license key, the system will work in demo mode.
  5. Start the backup process by clicking the Next button.
Progress information is shown in the following window.
  6. When the backup is complete, a window notifies of successful copying.
To close the window, click the Finish button.

A backup of the configuration has now been created.
