You can use the ngpsh.exe utility and json commands to back up and restore your system configuration.

Attention!

These configuration backups are incompatible with those created with the Backup and configuration recovery utility, and vice versa.


To create a configuration backup:

  1. Use Windows command line to access the <C-Werk installation directory>\C-Werk\bin folder.
  2. Execute the following command:

    ngpsh.exe backup backupJson [path_to_backup_folder] [node_name] [local] [shared] [license] [tickets]

    Where

Parameter

Description

path_to_backup_folder

Required parameter. 

Specify a folder to save the configuration backup to. You have to use two "\" characters in the path.

node_name

Required parameter. 

Name of a Server whose configuration you want to save.

local

Add it, if you need to save the local configuration for this Server: all created objects along with their parameters, links and changes' histories.

shared

Add it, if you need to save the global configuration for an Domain: users, layouts, etc.

license

Add it, if you need to save a license.

tickets

Add it, if you need to save the Domain structure.

An example:

ngpsh.exe backup backupJson c:\\backups Server1 local

To restore a configuration from a backup:

ngpsh.exe backup restoreJson [path_to_backup_file] [node_name] [local] [shared] [license] [tickets] [deleteLocal] [deleteShared]

Add it, if you need to clear the local configuration from objects not present in the backup copy.

deleteShared

Add it, if you need to clear the global configuration from objects not present in the backup copy.
