All possible cases of C-Werk Domain configuration are, to some degree, a combination of two typical cases.
In the first typical case, the Servers for the future C-Werk Domain are selected before C-Werk installation. This case involves the following steps:
Selecting a Server on the basis of which the new C-Werk Domain will be created. Installing the C-Werk software package with the Server and Client configuration type, indicating the name of the new C-Werk Domain (see also step 8 of the instructions in the section Installation).
Note
Any Server in the future C-Werk Domain can be selected as the primary Server
- Installing the C-Werk software package with the Server and Client configuration type on the other servers of the future C-Werk Domain, without adding them to the C-Werk Domain (see also step 8 of the instructions in the section Installation).
- Connecting to the primary server.
- Adding the remaining Servers to the C-Werk Domain from the primary Server according to the instructions in the section Adding a Server to an existing C-Werk Domain.
In the second typical case it is necessary to add servers which are part of another C-Werk Domain to a new C-Werk Domain. This case involves the following steps:
- Excluding all the Servers which are to be added to the new C-Werk Domain from their current C-Werk Domains, according to the instructions in the section Removing a Server from an C-Werk Domain.
- Naming the new C-Werk Domain according to the instructions in the section Creating a new domain, when attempting to connect to one of the Servers excluded in step 1.
- Adding the remaining Servers to the C-Werk Domain from the primary Server according to the instructions in the section Adding a Server to an existing C-Werk Domain.
