Attention!

  • If you transfer the configuration, old events from the database will be lost.
  • VMDA metadata will be saved as long as it is stored on a network drive.
  • A failover system must have the Enterprise or Unified license type (see Types of licenses).

To transfer the configuration from a common security server to a failover system, do the following:

  1. Create a copy of the configuration on the server (see Configuration backup).
  2. Remove C-Werk from all Servers of the domain but keep the configuration (see Removal).
  3. Install C-Werk on all Servers using the Failover server and client installation type (see Installation).
  4. Initialize a cluster (see Creating a cluster) using the supervisor Web-interface (see Supervisor Web-Interface).
  5. Add Servers that were used in the domain to the cluster.
  6. Add nodes to the cluster.

    Note

The names of the nodes in the cluster must match the names of the Servers that were used in the common C-Werk security system.

  7. Connect the Client to one of the cluster nodes (see Connecting to a Node and Configuring of an Domain).
  8. Add nodes to the domain.
  9. Connect to the configuration backup and restore utility on the node (see Starting and quitting BackupTool.exe).
  10. Restore the saved configuration (see Configuration restore).

As a result, the configuration will be transferred from a common security system to a failover system.
