When you select a camera, the camera window appears on the panel (see Searching for video cameras in the web client).

The web client supports the MJPEG and H.264 formats. Other video formats are re-coded to MJPEG at the server.

You can play back a video in the web client with any of the 2 players: jpeg and mp4. If your browser supports mp4 format, the mp4 player is used. Otherwise, your videos will be played back via the jpeg player.

Note
titleAttention!

If your layout contains several camera windows, only I-frames (key frames) will be displayed for H.264 cameras.  Selecting a single camera sets its window to display all frames.

In MPEG videos, each frame is displayed.

If your camera is capable of multi-streaming, the lowest resolution stream will be displayed by default.

To select a stream in the web client, do as follows:

  1. Click the parameters of the current stream.

  2. Select a stream to be displayed.
