Use of C-Werk through a web client takes place remotely, through a web browser and the TCP/IP protocol. Remote video surveillance via a web browser does not require installation of C-Werk.

Opera browser supports Web-client starting from version 15.

In the Windows OS, the Web-client for Safari browser is not supported.

To start the web client:

  1. Start a web browser.

  2. In the address bar, type the address of the C-Werk server in the following format: <web server IP address>:<Port>/<Prefix>.

    The Server URL is case-sensitive. You have to type in the URL using the exact case of characters specified in settings(see Configuring the web server).


    If the web server is properly configured (see Configuring the web server), then a secure HTPPS connection is automatically established. 


  3. Enter a user name and password for connecting to the C-Werk web server.

The web client interface is then displayed.

To change a user in the Web client, do as follows:

  1. in the upper-right corner, click the button .
  2. Click the Change user link
